ISLAMABAD: There is good news for Pakistanis seeking study opportunities in Russia, as the Russian Embassy in Pakistan has announced the opening of official registration for the online stage of the Open Olympiad organised by the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) for foreign citizens.
In a statement shared on social media platform X, the embassy said the initiative offers a valuable opportunity for Pakistani high school graduates and university students aspiring to pursue higher education in Russia. The embassy confirmed that high school graduates and final-year university students are eligible to apply for the Olympiad.
According to the announcement, successful candidates will have the chance to receive free education at RUDN under the Russian government quota, making it a highly competitive and sought-after opportunity for students looking to study abroad.
The embassy stated that participants who secure first position in the Olympiad will be eligible for a fully funded education at RUDN under the Russian government quota. Meanwhile, runner-up candidates will be offered significant tuition fee discounts and may also qualify for free education under the quota, depending on availability after the admission of top-ranked winners.
Officials explained that interested applicants must complete online registration and upload scanned copies of required documents, including their passport or national identity card, educational diploma or certificate, and academic grades from the most recent year of study.
After successfully clearing the online test stage, shortlisted candidates will be invited for an individual interview, which will serve as the next phase of the selection process. The embassy emphasized that the Olympiad is designed to identify talented international students and provide them access to quality higher education in Russia.
