NTDC Restores 132KV Transmission Line Connecting Jhimpir Wind Plants

The National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC) recently undertook a commendable effort to restore the 132KV transmission line originating from the Jhimpir wind power cluster. Following the disruption caused by cyclone Biparjoy, power supply from the three wind plants in the Jhimpir cluster had been severely affected. Eight towers of the transmission line had suffered damage due to the relentless onslaught of strong winds, rain, and cyclonic conditions. However, the dedicated teams from NTDC persevered through challenging weather conditions to restore the transmission line and successfully reconnect the power generation from the Jhimpir wind cluster to the national grid.

Unwavering Commitment Despite Adverse Weather

Despite the rough weather conditions, the NTDC teams worked tirelessly day and night to ensure a prompt resolution. The damage caused by the cyclone had left a significant portion of the region without power, making the restoration efforts even more critical. The teams’ unwavering commitment and diligent work allowed for the swift restoration of the 132KV transmission line. Their efforts have been widely recognized, and Minister for Energy Khurram Dastagir lauded the NTDC team for their exceptional work in restoring the transmission line within a remarkably short span of time.
