The Ministry of Interior has taken recent action by placing hundreds of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers, including former prime minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi, on the no-fly list. This decision effectively bars them from leaving the country, as their names are now restricted from air travel them from leaving the country. This action comes as the ministry aims to restrict the movement of prominent PTI figures, such as Qasim Suri, Asad Umar, Asad Qaiser, Aslam Iqbal, Yasmin Rashid, Murad Saeed, Maleeka Bukhari, Fawad Chaudhry, and Hammad Azhar. To enforce this ban, the ministry has directed relevant authorities to ensure that the names of these individuals are shared with all airports and exit points across Pakistan.
Following the arrest of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, violent protests broke out in various parts of the country. As a result, efforts were initiated to apprehend those involved in attacking security installations. Subsequently, several PTI leaders have chosen to part ways with the party, citing various reasons and condemning the riots that occurred on May 9.
Prominent political figures, including former ministers Shireen Mazari and Fayyazul Chohan, publicly announced their departure from the party. Other notable individuals who have parted ways with PTI include Aamir Mehmood Kiani, Malik Amin Aslam, Mahmood Moulvi, and Aftab Siddiqui. During press conferences, these party leaders expressed their disapproval of the attacks on state installations before officially announcing their departure from the party.
Former minister Shireen Mazari, in a press conference, bid farewell to politics and condemned the violence that erupted on May 9 following the arrest of former Prime Minister Imran Khan. Mazari emphasized that her family was her priority. Fayyazul Chohan, speaking to the media, expressed his family’s strong affinity for the military and vowed to expose conspiracies against Pakistan. He criticized the PTI leadership for not restraining Imran Khan from engaging in violent politics, claiming that he was the only one who tried to convince Khan to adopt non-violent approaches. Chohan further revealed that he was banned from entering Zaman Park after being appointed as Khan’s media adviser.

Furthermore, Chohan advised Khan to maintain a purely political struggle instead of targeting institutions, highlighting concerns about the advice Khan was receiving from those around him.
Amid these developments, Imran Khan, the leader of PTI, noticed a growing trend of “forced divorces” within the party as prominent members announced their departures.
