‘Double standards of justice’ are condemned by Nawaz Sharif in Pakistan
Nawaz Sharif, the leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and former prime minister, on Wednesday expressed criticism towards the justice system, questioning its fairness by pointing out its acceptance of a 60 billion looter while punishing others.
Using Twitter as a platform, the former prime minister voiced his concerns regarding the justice system and stated, “Those who sentenced us welcome the looters of Rs60 billion,” implying a double standard in the treatment of individuals. He questioned the respectability of such a justice system.
Nawaz Sharif, expressing his frustration over his disqualification and imprisonment, emphasized the irony of receiving penalties for not accepting a few thousand dirhams from his son. He highlighted the discrepancy in treatment and outcomes within the justice system.
