A glacier burst in the tourist destination of Naran has caused extensive damage, burying several hotels and houses under snow.
The incident occurred on the highway leading from Naran to Saif-ul-Muluk Lake. Many hotels were destroyed by the snow, resulting in the complete closure of Kaghan Highway.
A meeting of the Kaghan Development Authority was convened to assess the situation. DG Kaghan Development Authority, Muhammad Shabbir Khan, pledged full support to the victims in Naran.
Shabbir Khan assured that immediate assistance would be provided once the roads are cleared to aid in the rehabilitation of those affected.
Additionally, Deputy Director of Kaghan Development Authority, Aminul Hasan Khan, reported that numerous hotels and houses have been destroyed in Naran. Initial information is being gathered in collaboration with the Tehsil Administration and Finance Department.”
