Islamabad: Pakistan Peoples Party leader Qadir Mankhol demanded inquiry against PML-N leader and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar over his statement about nuclear arsenals amid efforts for International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) revival of stalled programme.
“Why Ishaq Dar talked about the nuclear assets?,” asked the PPP leader, saying that he had put everything before the International lender and despite that he started talking about the nuclear assets.
He said that if someone really asked Dar about the nuclear assets then he should tell his name.
“He should not make it like the Imran Khan’s cipher,” said Mandokhail in an exclusive interview to a local private TV.
The PPP leader said that they would sacrifice themselves for the nuclear program, pointing out that they would not accept even a single thing about the nuclear assets of the country.
The PPP leader also came down hard upon the PML-N leadership, especially Maryam Nawaz, Ishaq Dar and Rana Sanaullah.
“He said Rana Sanaullah failed to deal with the matter of Imran Khan. He should step down if he cannot deal even with a person,” said Mandokhail, demanding action against Rana Sanaullah and Inspector General of Police (IGP).
“Rana Sanaullah mishandled the case of Imran Khan,” he added.
He said Dar used to criticize Miftah and later Miftah criticized Dar. Miftah, he said, reached Nawaz Sharif home while targeting Ishaq Dar.
“The PML-N is not ready to take action against Miftah, because he is factory partner of Shehbaz Sharif,” said the PPP leader.
The PPP lawmaker said that if Nawaz Sharif was not coming to Pakistan it was his decision but the PPP was advancing as Asif Ali Zardari being ill was meeting people.
He stated that if the PML-N failed to run the Finance and Interior Ministries effectively and if they failed then they should hand them over to any other party.
However, he said that he was not against the action against the PTI, saying that there should be competition in the politics.
