Man Shot Dead Inside Clinic in Karachi While Receiving Medical Treatment
A shocking incident of violence unfolded in Karachi’s Pak Colony area on Friday when a man was shot dead inside a private clinic while receiving medical aid, triggering fear and concern among local residents.
According to police, the victim was identified as Abdul Rasheed, who had gone to a clinic in the old Golimar area for treatment and was receiving a drip when the incident occurred. An unidentified armed suspect reportedly entered the clinic, opened fire on Rasheed at close range and fled the scene immediately after the attack.
Police officials said Rasheed was shot in the head and died on the spot before doctors could provide any emergency assistance. The sudden shooting caused panic inside the clinic, with staff and patients scrambling for safety as the attacker escaped.
Law enforcement authorities stated that initial investigations suggest the killing may be linked to a personal dispute. Police revealed that Abdul Rasheed was known as a social worker in the area and was also involved in the property business, which could be one of the possible motives behind the attack.
Following the incident, police cordoned off the area and collected forensic evidence from the crime scene. CCTV footage from nearby locations is also being reviewed to identify and trace the suspect.
Officials confirmed that a search operation is underway and investigations into the murder are ongoing. Police added that further details would emerge once the inquiry progresses and suspects are questioned.
The incident has once again raised serious concerns about security in Karachi, particularly the ease with which armed individuals can carry out targeted attacks even inside healthcare facilities.
