Imran Khan’s Son Kasim Accuses Government of Deliberately Delaying Visas

ISLAMABAD: Kasim Khan, son of jailed PTI founder and former prime minister Imran Khan, has accused the federal government of deliberately refusing to process visa applications submitted by him and his brother, preventing them from travelling to Pakistan to meet their father.

In a post shared on X, Kasim said that he and his brother have been trying to visit Pakistan but continue to face unexplained delays. “My brother and I are trying to travel to Pakistan to see our father. For 914 days, he has been held in solitary confinement while his health deteriorates and he is denied access to independent medical care,” he wrote.

He further alleged that the visa delays were intentional. “Now the government is deliberately refusing to process our visas. Denying a prisoner treatment is cruel. Denying his children the right to see him is collective punishment,” Kasim added.

Calling for international intervention, Kasim urged global human rights organisations and foreign governments to take notice of the situation. “I call on international human rights organisations and governments to speak out and act before irreversible harm is done,” he said.

Kasim Khan and his elder brother Suleiman Khan live in London with their mother, Jemima Goldsmith.

The statement comes days after the government acknowledged that Imran Khan received medical treatment at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), following media reports raising concerns about the former prime minister’s health while in custody.

The allegations have added to ongoing criticism by PTI supporters and rights activists over Imran Khan’s detention, treatment in jail, and restrictions on family access.
