Junaid Safdar, the son of PML-N chief organizer Maryam Nawaz, has confirmed that his marriage to Ayesha Saif, the daughter of former accountability bureau head Saifur Rehman, has ended in divorce after three years.
 Junaid made the announcement on Instagram, stressing that it’s a private matter and requesting the media to respect their privacy. Their wedding ceremony occurred across two locations in London and Pakistan, partly due to the presence of PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif, who currently resides in self-exile in London.
The nikkah ceremony took place at the luxurious Lanesborough hotel in Knightsbridge, attended by Safdar’s grandfather, his Uncle Hussain Nawaz, party member and former finance minister Ishaq Dar, and others. Unfortunately, Junaid’s parents, Maryam Nawaz and Muhammad Safdar, were unable to attend the ceremony due to their names being on the Exit Control List (ECL). Maryam Nawaz had announced her anticipated absence through a tweet earlier in the month.
