Meta Platform Inc’s Instagram has successfully restored service for most users after resolving a technical issue that caused disruptions on Sunday,

Downdetector.com recorded over 100,000 incidents in the United States, 24,000 in Canada, and more than 56,000 in Britain.
At the height of the outage, over 180,000 users reported difficulties accessing the platform. The disruption began around 5:45 p.m. EST (2145 GMT) and gradually decreased, with around 7,000 reports of outages by 8:30 p.m. EST.
Downdetector relies on user reports to track service disruptions.
