Celebrities dress exquisitely to walk the red carpet , one of the most anticipated fashion events of the year
Indian divas’ big entrances on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival brought glitz and elegance. Famous Bollywood actors including Sara Ali Khan, Esha Gupta, Manushi Chhillar, and former Indian cricketer Anil Kumble attended the festival, which was a star-studded event. Jeanne du Barry, a period drama starring Johnny Depp, had its debut at the festival, sparking excitement among moviegoers.
Sara Ali Khan
Sara Ali Khan turned attention as she walked the red carpet at the greatest film festival in the world. Everyone was captivated by her royal look. For the international event, the actress wore an Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla lehenga to highlight the rich culture. She also wore a similar top and a dupatta that trailed behind her. The exquisite stitching and decorations of the lehenga accentuated and exuded Khan’s natural beauty. The actress’s jewellery for the look included delicate earrings and a statement bracelet.
Even if wearing traditional dress to Cannes is a big statement in and of itself, the eagerly anticipated desi outfit sadly fell short of the expectations of the fans in terms of aesthetics. Regardless of whether it was the diva’s bad style or her resistance to fit into the dress, she was disqualified from consideration for the best-dressed award.
Esha Gupta
The “Indian Angelina Jolie,” Esha Gupta, looked stunning as she walked the Cannes red carpet. Nicholas Jebran Couture created a gorgeous white satin dress for Gupta, and it was everything from simple. Gupta looked gorgeous wearing the dress, which had a high collar, a breathtaking plunging neckline, sheer mesh embellishments, and white flower patterns. The diva’s figure was accentuated by the floor-length silhouette and wrap-around waist of the dress, which also displayed her bold sense of style owing to a daring high slit on one side.
Gupta opted for a stylish bun for her hairstyle and bronzed cosmetics to highlight her appealing dusky skin tone. The actress’s maroon lips, black eyeliner, defined cheekbones, and neutral eyeshadow all worked beautifully together.
Manushi Chhillar
Chhillar chose a similar all-white appearance like Gupta. The singer posed in a white tulle outfit designed by Walkers and Co., a brand committed to giving young, gifted individuals with a platform on a worldwide scale. She served as the model for the fashion label Fovari. She had all she needed for the event owing to the exquisite dress’ off-the-shoulder parts, corset accents, softly plunging neckline, and long train of white tulle with subtle frill designs. Chhillar maintained a fashionable look with her hair by wearing free-flowing, wavy curls and using light makeup.
Other well-known stars are also expected to attend the event. The Indian delegation to Cannes 2023 will be led by L Murugan, the Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting. Oscar winner Guneet Mongia, Chillar Gupta, and Kangabam Tomba will also be there. Anushka Sharma will also make her debut at Cannes this year.
