LAHORE: Azhar Mashwani, focal person to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, arrested on Thursday, said Imran Khan.
Taking to Twitter, the former prime minister said that Mashwani was picked up in the afternoon and his whereabouts were unknown.
“Enough is enough. Police in Punjab & Islamabad are breaking all laws with impunity as they target PTI. Today Azhar Mashwani was abducted in the afternoon from Lahore & his whereabouts are unknown. On 18 March Senator Shibli Faraz & Omar Sultan were badly beaten by ICT police,” Khan wrote.
Many other PTI leaders also claimed that Mashwani was abducted from his house. Police have yet to issue a statement in this regard.
PTI leader Zartaj Gul Wazir, senior anchorperson Imran Riaz Khan and several other people condemned the arrest of Mashwani, who recently got married.
