Imran Khan to Approach Human Rights Organizations to Advocate Justice for Abducted PTI Leaders

PTI Chairman Imran Khan has raised a strong voice against the illegal arrests and abductions of party workers and leaders, demanding immediate action from the international community and human rights organizations.

Expressing deep concern over the unjust incarceration of Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Secretary General Asad Umar, who have been detained for over a week, Imran Khan vows to fight for justice and the protection of constitutional rights.

Imran Khan’s Twitter statement:

In a powerful statement shared on Twitter, Imran Khan highlighted the alarming case of journalist Imran Riaz Khan, who has been denied his right to appear in court despite court orders. Shockingly, there have been confirmed reports of torture against him, further intensifying the urgency of the situation. Imran Khan’s unwavering commitment to justice and fairness drives his demand for the immediate release of all female leaders, workers, of the PTI party who have been wrongfully detained.

The plight of Shehrayar Afridi’s wife being incarcerated raises serious questions about the motives behind these arrests.

Imran Khan firmly believes that such actions are designed to instill fear and suppress the people’s constitutional rights. The scale of injustice becomes more apparent as he expresses his deep disturbance upon learning about the mistreatment of Dr. Shireen Mazari, a former Human Rights Minister, and the physical assault inflicted on her daughter by male police officers. These distressing incidents underscore the urgent need for immediate intervention to protect the rights and well-being of all individuals involved.

The recent developments following the bail granted to Dr. Mazari and Senator Falak Chitrali have raised grave concerns about the safety and security of those seeking justice. Shockingly, they were abducted from within Adyala Jail and forcefully taken to a secretariat where the echoes of Dr. Mazari’s screams pierced the air. This brazen act of intimidation and violation of basic human rights demands swift action from the authorities.

Video evidence has emerged, shedding light on the barbaric treatment endured by female supporters who have become victims of this oppressive regime. Imran Khan’s sense of moral outrage is palpable as he unequivocally condemns the reprehensible actions captured in these recordings. The mistreatment of women, whether they are elected officials, supporters, or workers, is a clear violation of fundamental human rights and stands in stark contrast to the values and teachings of both Pakistani culture and Islam.

Imran Khan firmly reiterates that the immediate release of all these women is not just a matter of justice but a moral imperative. The continued incarceration of these individuals, who have committed no crime, is an unconscionable act that further perpetuates the injustice and oppression they face. With an unwavering determination to seek justice, Imran Khan is actively engaging with international human rights organizations to ensure that the voices of the oppressed are heard on a global platform.

In this crucial moment, Imran Khan’s call for support resonates far beyond political boundaries. It is a rallying cry for the protection of human rights, the upholding of constitutional values, and the restoration of justice. As the world watches, the urgency of the situation demands immediate attention, accountability, and a united front to address these grave human rights violations. Imran Khan’s relentless pursuit of justice stands as a beacon of hope for those whose lives have been unjustly disrupted and who continue to suffer under the weight of oppression. The time to act is now, for the protection of basic human rights knows no boundaries and is the responsibility of the international community as a whole.
