Police reportedly surrounded Imran Khan’s home in order to re-arrest him.
LAHORE: PTI Chairman Imran Khan has raised concerns about the police surrounding his house, implying that he may face another arrest.
He took to Twitter, stating that it could be his last tweet before being apprehended again. The roads leading to his residence in Zaman Park have been blocked by the police, as seen in video footage showing a substantial contingent of Punjab police outside his house. Dharampura Chowk and Thandi Road have also been closed off to traffic.
Imran Khan has accused the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) of deliberately attempting to create a conflict between the PTI and the army. He expressed his dissatisfaction with the cases filed against his party under military laws, claiming that there was no proper investigation or independent inquiry. Imran stated that the sudden decision to label PTI as a terrorist organization resulted in the arrest of 7,500 party workers. He compared his criticism of the army to the way he criticizes his children, emphasizing that it is for the sake of reform. Imran further alleged that the PDM aims to provoke a confrontation between the army and the PTI, questioning who would emerge as the victor in such a situation.
