Renowned Pakistani cricketer Imad Wasim has confirmed that he has entered into a second marriage, putting weeks of speculation to rest after viral photos and allegations circulated on social media.
Earlier, pictures of Imad Wasim and Nylah Raja went viral online, showing the two walking together on the streets of the United Kingdom. At the time, both had described the moment as a casual fan interaction, dismissing rumors of a relationship.
The situation intensified when Imad’s former wife, Sania Ashfaq, publicly announced their separation. She alleged that the marriage ended due to the involvement of a third party, sparking widespread debate across social media platforms.
In response to the allegations, Nylah stated that the claims were baseless and warned that she would pursue legal action against individuals spreading false accusations about her character.
Breaking his silence, Imad Wasim shared a detailed statement on social media, reflecting on his personal journey. He described his first marriage as unsuccessful and called it one of the most difficult phases of his life. Despite the challenges, he said he was blessed with the “greatest gifts” — his children — whom he loves deeply and unconditionally.
The cricketer admitted that he remained patient for a long time and made continuous efforts to save what mattered most to him. However, he acknowledged that certain decisions he made during that period were regrettable. He accepted responsibility for his delay and silence, saying it contributed to a situation where an innocent person was unfairly judged and subjected to criticism she did not deserve.
Imad further revealed that, with the grace of Allah and the guidance of his parents, he has now solemnized his nikah with Nylah Raja. He described the decision as thoughtful and made with clear intentions to begin a new chapter based on peace, stability, and mutual respect.
According to him, Nylah has brought dignity, calm, and stability into his life during a turbulent period.
Above all, Imad emphasized that his commitment to his children remains his top priority. He stated that fatherhood is not limited to financial responsibility but also requires emotional presence, love, and guidance. Despite his efforts, he shared that he is currently unable to meet his children regularly and expressed his deep desire to remain an active and meaningful part of their lives.
