Lollywood diva Mahira Khan has publically announced her support to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.
During an interview with senior writer Anwar Maqsood, the Bol actress talked about a range of topics to the delight of her audiences. The event was organised by the Arts Council of Pakistan in Karachi on Sunday.
The Humsafar actress opened about her childhood, her film The Legend of Maula Jatt, politics and the other issues.
During the interview, Anwar Maqsood took his chance to ask the star actress about her political affiliations. After asking three times, the starlet finally responded, “Mae Pathan ki tarf hun (I’m side with Pathan).”
On her reply, the audience erupted into cheers and laughter.
The Raees star also shared her experience in the industry and her delight in working with Bollywood heartthrob Shah Rukh Khan.
Anwar Maqsood asked Mahira Khan about her earnings. She replied, “We really didn’t get that much, but some films like this one are done for token money!.”
Mahira also lauded the Lahore Qalandars for winning the PSL8 tournament. She said she supported Peshawar Zalmi which would win the next tournament. At this, Anwar Maqsood said, “I knew you were a PTI supporter the day you became the Zalmi ambassador.”
