Karachi: A person got injured while several others trapped in new Charlie A R square after fire erupted there on Saturday.
The rescue workers reached the spot soon after getting information and started rescue operation to extinguish the fire. Two fire vehicles were brought there to control the fire.
Several people fell unconscious due to suffocation inside the building and the rescue workers started using snorkel to save the people. They said that several others were still inside the building. The fire, according other to the rescue workers, spread to some other floor of the building. The huge smoke could be seen rising up in the area.
The rescue workers said that one person got burn injuries while several others fell unconscious due to the fire and they had been shifted to the nearby hospital.
