Fatima Bhutto, her husband spend time with abandoned animals after Nikkah

KARACHI: Fatima Bhutto and her husband Graham [Gibran] spent time with the abandoned and abused animals after their marriage in a bid to highlight their rights.

Taking to Twitter, Fatima Bhutto and her husband Graham [Gibran] visited different places and spent time with the abandoned animals.

She wrote, “Spent the day after our Nikkah with the abandoned, abused animals  @ACFAnimalRescue  & the incredible  @a_chundrigar,”.

She also quoted an Hadit saying that, “the Prophet (PBUH) told his followers “Fear God in your treatment of animals”(Abu Dawood). If only people practiced such kindness,”.

Last week, Fatima, who is the grand-daughter of PPP founder and former Prime Minister Zulfqiar Ali Bhutto, tied the knot with Gibran in a ceremony held in Karachi.

The close family members and friends attended the ceremony as only few guests were invited there. Fatima’s brother, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Junior, shared a picture of the newlyweds on social media and congratulated them.

Despite her family’s political background, Fatima has largely focused on her career as a writer and activist, with her work including a memoir and a novel exploring Pakistani life.
