Elon Musk Tests Live Streaming Feature on X(Twitter)

The social media platform formerly known as Twitter, now referred to as X, has recently made improvements to its ‘live videos’ feature. To demonstrate the enhancement, tech mogul Elon Musk tested the feature himself and expressed satisfaction, stating, “Live videos now work reasonably well.”

In a brief 53-second clip, Musk is seen enjoying a lighthearted moment with what seems to be members of the development team at X. With a smile on his face, he shared the good news about the live video feature.

“Just tap the button that looks like a camera when you post,” advised Musk when asked how to utilize the new feature.

During the testing, the video quality appeared to be quite decent, although there were moments when it became slightly blurry, especially when the phone was in motion. However, when the phone stabilized, the video quality improved significantly.

Musk also compared the new live streaming capability with the past, noting that it now performs much better than the old 8-bit quality they had, which refers to the blocky, low-resolution live streams experienced before.

The updated feature allows users to interact with live videos through comments and likes. However, there was no mention of specific quality settings for live streaming.

For those interested in creating their own live video on X, here’s a simple guide:

Step 1: Tap the camera icon in the composer.

Step 2: Select ‘Live’ from the options at the bottom.

Step 3: You have the option to add an optional description that will appear as a Tweet and even specify a location if desired.

Step 4: Tap ‘Go live’ to start your live streaming experience.
