Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have celebrated the arrival of their first child, a daughter, on Sunday. The newborn was said to have been delivered at Mumbai’s HN Reliance Hospital. The couple had revealed their pregnancy news earlier this year in February.
Amid much excitement, Deepika gave birth to a healthy baby, marking a new chapter for her and Ranveer Singh. On Sunday, the couple and their family arrived at the hospital, but photographers couldn’t capture their photos as they were inside their curtained car. Soon after, family members joined them.
Deepika and Ranveer announced their pregnancy in February this year. They shared a joint post that read “September 2024,” decorated with baby clothes, shoes, and balloons.
The couple posted photos from their maternity shoot, where Deepika proudly displayed her baby bump with Ranveer by her side. Reports suggest that Deepika and Ranveer may move into a new apartment in Bandra once it is finished. Their new home is reportedly next to Shah Rukh Khan’s bungalow, Mannat, and will occupy floors 16 to 19 of the building, including a private terrace.
Deepika and Ranveer tied the knot in Lake Como, Italy, in 2018 with friends and family present.
Regarding their work plans, Deepika intends to return to her career in 2025, taking the next few months to focus on her newborn. Her maternity leave will extend until March next year, after which she will start filming the sequel to “Kalki,” alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Prabhas. She will also appear in Rohit Shetty’s ensemble cop drama “Singham Again,” which stars Ranveer Singh.
