The court summons case record from the local police in the case registered against PTI President Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi
LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President Chaudhry Parvez Elahi on Thursday secured interim bail till May 11 from the Anti-Terrorism Court in a case registered against him for his alleged involvement in hurling petrol bombs at the police and interfering into the official work.
ATC Judge Ijaz Ahmed Buttar granted bail to the PTI President and directed him to deposit Rs50,000 as surety bond.
The case was registered at Ghalib Market police station in Lahore, and Elahi has been ordered by the court to join the investigation into the matter.
The court also asked for the case record from the police during the next hearing. This decision indicates that the court is taking the case seriously and is willing to consider all available evidence. It also shows that the court is giving due process to the accused in accordance with the law.

Elahi, a former Chief Minister of Punjab, has been involved in multiple legal cases, including allegations of corruption. In another case, an ATC in Gujrat granted him interim bail till May 23 in two separate corruption cases.
