Baidu’s CEO, Robin Li, revealed on Friday that the highly anticipated launch of Ernie 3.5, a cutting-edge generative AI large-language model, is just around the corner. This advanced model is set to enhance Baidu’s search engine capabilities and will be integrated into the company’s ChatGPT-like application, Ernie Bot.

During his announcement at the prestigious Zhongguancun Forum, one of China’s renowned technology forums, Li shared the news approximately two months after Ernie Bot’s initial public introduction, which received a mixed response from users. Since its debut, Ernie Bot and other products utilizing Baidu’s generative AI large-language model have been undergoing trials, with a select group of companies and users invited to participate and provide valuable feedback.
