Andrew Tate Detained Overnight After Police Raid Homes in Romania

On Wednesday, Romanian police searched four properties linked to Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan as part of a new investigation into child trafficking and related crimes.

Romania’s Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) confirmed that police conducted searches at four locations owned by the Tate brothers in Bucharest and Ilfov. This action is part of an ongoing investigation into the brothers, who are accused of serious crimes, including forming an organized criminal group, trafficking in minors and adults, sexual exploitation of a minor, influencing witnesses, and money laundering.

The police raids followed fresh complaints from alleged victims who accuse the Tate brothers, known for running a video chat business in Romania, of trafficking and exploitation.

A spokesperson for the Tates acknowledged the raids on social media, stating, “Although the allegations in the search warrant are not yet fully clarified, they include suspicions of human trafficking and money laundering. The brothers’ legal team is present to ensure all formalities are carried out correctly.”

Andrew Tate, a controversial figure and self-proclaimed misogynist, responded to the situation on X, claiming he is the victim of conspiracies.

The Tate brothers, who present themselves as global influencers teaching young men to “fight against the system,” are currently awaiting trial in Romania on charges of human trafficking, rape, and forming a criminal gang to sexually exploit women. In July, the Bucharest Court of Appeal overturned a previous court decision that had allowed the brothers to leave Romania.
