“Private schools across the country to suspend classes on Wednesday”
LAHORE: The All Pakistan Private Schools Federation has declared that all private schools in the country will be closed on Wednesday, May 10, due to the current law and order situation in the country after the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan. Kashif Mirza, the President of All Pakistan Private Schools Federation, stated that the decision to close schools was made due to the emergency situation in the country.
After the arrest of Khan, PTI workers staged protests and blocked the main roads. The government also imposed Section 144 in Punjab and other parts of the country to maintain law and order.
Mirza further stated that the next announcement regarding the reopening of schools for regular classes would be made after consultations with all stakeholders. Mirza also appealed to parents, staff, and teachers to remain peaceful and vigilant during the current situation.
