- The PTI leader has been accused of corruption in different contracts at Punjab Institute of Cardiology.
Lahore: Punjab Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) on Monday issued notice to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former Punjab health minister Yasmin Rashid to appear in person to explain her position in alleged corruption at Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC).
The ACE gave on-day time to Dr. Yasmin Rashid and directed him to appear before tomorrow at 12:00 pm. The Establishment also summoned the PIC Executive Director, Medical Superintendent and others over charges of ‘providing bribe’ to Dr. Yasmin Rashid.
 The PTI leader was accused of taking corruption of billions of rupees in different contacts including parking, cancteen and cleaning contacts at the hospital.
She was accused of causing damage to the national exchequer of more than Rs1 billion in buying stents at the higher rates by violating the PPRA rules, said the sources privy to the development. They also said that the authorities also accused Dr. Yasmin Rashid and others were accused of buying such emquipments which are used in bypass surgeries against exorbitant rates.
