LAHORE: Pakistan and New Zealand will play their first match of five-match series of T20 International at Gaddafi Stadium tonight.
The match will start at 9:00 pm local time and the fans are much excited to see both the teams locking horns at historic ground.
The both sides are excited for tonight match and determined to show the best performance.
“It is really an exciting tour for us. We know that we are going to play with a quality team,” said Tom Latham while talking to the media. He said obviously, they were missing a few of their senior players but that was going to offer opportunities to others, adding that his team were really looking forward to testing themselves.
Latham also said that the conditions were completely different to what they had had back at home and vowed to adapt themselves to the present situation as quickly as possible.
“We will learn many things during this tour,” said Kiwis’ skipper, adding that the PSL had been there, so they would try and get as much information as they could.
Gaddafi Stadium will stage T20I matches on 14, 15 and 17 April before the action shifts to Rawalpindi where the last two games of the series will be played on 20 and 24 April.
On other hand, Babar Azam was of the view that they were quite happy about this series.
He said, “The T20 World Cup is over a year away and we will look to utilise the next five games to see where we stand,”. The Pakistani skipper said they would try their best to show the good performance in the clash with the Kiwis, adding that the latest experience would make them strong.
