New Dehli: At least four army personnel were killed in a shooting incident at Bhatinda military station in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The Indian media reported that the shooting took place in a canteen and the shooters were currently at large. The shooters were carrying ammunition and their whereabouts were unknown.
Initially, there had been speculations that the incident might have been a terror attack but later the police confirmed that it was the internal matter of the military.
S.P.S Parmar, a police official, said that the shooting was in a canteen of the military station.
The Indian Army quickly reacted and deployed the quick-response teams and the whole area was cordoned off and sealed. The search for the shooters is underway and the investigation was being done to ascertain the shooters.
Bhatinda military station is around 280 km northwest of New Dehli where the army officers and families of the soldiers reside.
