No load shedding in Ramadan, says Energy Minister

Pakistan: As the holy month approaches, Energy Minister, Musadik Masood, has declared that there will be no load shedding during the sacred hours of Ramadan.

Ministry of Energy has announced a significant relief for Muslims who will be fasting during the upcoming holy month of Ramadan. According to the ministry, there will be an uninterrupted power supply during the hours of sehri, iftar, and tarawih throughout the month.

The ministry has reportedly made all the necessary operational arrangements and finalized a comprehensive strategy to ensure this uninterrupted power supply.

The ministry spokesperson stated that there will be no electricity outages during the two hours of sehri, one hour during iftar, and two hours during tarawih. In the case of transformer failure, additional transformers will be made available, and special teams will be formed at the subdivision level to address any grievances.

To further facilitate this initiative, the power division has requested all power distribution companies to provide details of supply and demand. The ministry has instructed all electricity-supplying companies to comply with this order. Moreover, control rooms will be established to monitor the power supply during these holy hours.
