Pakistan completes evacuation process as 1000 Pakistanis reach Jeddah safely

ISLAMABAD:  The evacuation process from conflict-hit Sudan completed as over one thousand Pakistanis stuck there arrived in Jeddah on Tuesday.

The Foreign Office Spokesperson said that their evacuation operations ended in Sudan.

It said, “By Allah’s grace and tireless efforts of our embassy in Khartoum led by Amb Regi, supported by 🇸🇦 and 🇨🇳 and our teams in Jeddah and Islamabad, we have successfully & safely evacuated over 1000 Pakistanis out of Sudan. With this our evacuation operations out of Sudan have ended,”.

The Evacuations through Jeddah would continue until last Pakistanis returned safely. The spokesperson said that the evacuation was carried out with the help of Saudi Arabia and China.

A day earlier, 93 stranded Pakistani nationals in Sudan arrived at Islamabad International Airport via PK754.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said they are grateful to the brotherly country of Saudi Arabia for their support and assistance to Pakistanis in distress in this difficult time.
