ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Religious Affairs on Sunday extended the deadline for submission of passports by the pilgrims until the 28th of the current month.
The Ministry directed the pilgrims to use the “Saudi Visa Bio” smartphone application for biometric verification from home. In case of any difficulty, they can visit the visa center from 2 PM to 6 PM.
Earlier, Muhammad Talha Mahmood, the minister for religious affairs, reviewed Hajj facilities and emphasized that his primary focus is to decrease Hajj expenses and create maximum facilities for Pakistani pilgrims.
He directed relevant officials to provide quality facilities at minimum cost.
Meanwhile, the minister held meeting with Secretary-General of the Muslim World League Dr. Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa in Makkah to discuss issues of mutual interest.
Both the leaders discussed ways to strengthen fraternal ties between the two countries and talked about the challenges faced by the Muslim Ummah.
Dr Al-Issa lauded the heartfelt attachment of the Pakistani people to Saudi Arabia and Haramain Sharifain despite difficult economic conditions.
