Pak vs AUS: 17-Member Australian Squad Lands in Pakistan for T20I Series

LAHORE: A 17-member Australian squad arrived in Pakistan on Wednesday for the upcoming Pak vs AUS T20I series.

The Australian team landed at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport ahead of the three-match T20 International series. According to team management, the visiting players will take rest on arrival day.

The opening match of the series will be played on Thursday at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. All three T20I matches between Pakistan and Australia are scheduled to take place at the same venue on January 29 and 31, and February 1, with each fixture set to begin at 6:00pm Pakistan Standard Time.

The series is considered an important part of preparations for both teams ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.

Pakistan will be led by Salman Ali Agha, with the squad including Abrar Ahmed, Babar Azam, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Khawaja Mohammad Nafay (wicketkeeper), Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Salman Mirza, Mohammad Wasim Jr, Naseem Shah, Sahibzada Farhan (wicketkeeper), Saim Ayub, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shadab Khan, Usman Khan (wicketkeeper) and Usman Tariq.

The Pakistan team’s support staff includes Naveed Akram Cheema as team manager, Mike Hesson as head coach, Ashley Noffke as bowling coach, Shane McDermott as fielding coach, Hanif Malik as batting coach, Cliffe Deacon as physiotherapist, Grant Luden as strength and conditioning coach, Talha Ejaz as performance analyst, Syed Naeem Ahmed as media manager, Lt Col (retd) Usman Anwari as security manager, Dr Wajid Ali Rafai as team doctor, Dr Raheel Karim as psychiatrist, and Muhammad Ehsan as masseur.
