The Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting comes down hard upon courts over what she says “fastest relief” for Imran Khan.
Lahore: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb on Sunday called Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan “terrorist” , saying that he just wanted unrest across the country.
“What is happening at courts now? Petrol bombs and stones are being thrown at the police,” said Marriyum Aurangzeb lashing out at the PTI Chief.
The Federal Minister also came down hard upon the courts for what she said “fastest relief” for a “terrorist”.
“The rule of law has been compromised by giving such extraordinary relief to Imran Khan,” said the minister, questioning permission granted to PTI Chief to mark attendance in his car outside the judicial complex in Islamabad.
She expressed these words while addressing a press conference in Lahore on Sunday.
“If the goons like Imran Khan are treated this way then there will be nothing but the law of the jungle,” said the federal minister.
She also criticized Imran Khan saying that he is responsible for the crisis in the country.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said, “You have damaged the police’ writ by giving him relief,” accusing the PTI chief of lashing out at the courts and damaging their sanctity.
She stated that the PML-N leadership was still appearing before the courts even in the fake cases. She also showed the video regarding recovery of weapons and petrol that was used for petrol bombs on the police.
The PML-N leader asked whetherthe terrorists were recovered from the house of Shehbaz Sharif’s daughter in Model Town when NAB was sent there. She also also recalled the raid against Maryam Nawaz and her husband in Karachi.
“You are a terrorist and you are a liar. We used to call you politically but you are real terrorist,” said the federal minister, adding that he was concealing a daughter.
She also warned Khan by saying that “We will not leave you,”.
She stated that petrol bombs and pelting stones at the police were nothing but jokes for the PTI. She said that what was happening in the country was only because of Imran Khan.
She went on to say that Imran Khan was the first person in the country’s history who got speedy justice from the courts as he secured bails in nine cases just in eight minutes.
Responding to a question as how the petrol could be kept in the plastic bottles, Marriyum said they did not know how the petrol was kept in there, contending that the PML-N had nothing to do with such kind of things. It was the only court order on the basis of which the operation was launched in Zaman Park, she added.
