In 2022, the number of people leaving Pakistan for other countries was 765,000, which is almost three times higher than the 225,000 departures in 2021 and 288,000 emigrants in 2020. Among this year’s emigrants were 92,000 highly-educated individuals, including doctors, engineers, information technology experts, and accountants.
