The UK parliament on Thursday announced blocking TikTok from all the parliamentary devices and the internet servers.
The move comes after the government imposed a ban on the app on the government mobile phones and devices last week.
In a statement, Cabinet Office Minister Oliver Dowden informed the parliament that we were banning the app to improve the security of sensitive government information. He said that the use of other apps would be monitored.
In an official statement, the UK government said that it was concerned about the security of the official data.
The United Kingdom last week announced a security ban of TikTok on the government devices.
TikTok owner ByteDance and the Chinese government termed the banning of app as politically motivated and also rejected the security fears expressed by the Western world.
Following the UK, the Scottish government also imposed a ban on TikTok.
