The Transport General Authority (TGA) is once again offering 1,000 electric scooters as a convenient means of transportation for Hajj pilgrims. Following a successful trial service launched during the previous Hajj season, TGA aims to provide diverse transportation options to enhance the pilgrims’ experience and facilitate their movement during the sacred rituals.
Improved Pilgrims’ Experience and Efficient Transportation:
By introducing the e-scooter service, TGA intends to enhance the overall experience of the pilgrims while streamlining transportation within the holy sites. Pilgrims can expect reduced travel time, making it easier for them to perform their religious obligations.
Dedicated Track for Safety:
To ensure the safety of pilgrims, TGA has designated a dedicated track for the e-scooters, effectively separating them from other vehicles and pedestrians. This measure aims to preserve the well-being of the pilgrims and minimize the risk of accidents.
Track Details:
The allocated track spans a length of 2 kilometers and comprises two lanes, facilitating smooth movement between Kadana station and the Mahbas Al-Jin tunnel. The track ultimately leads to Bab Ali station in the Grand Mosque, allowing pilgrims convenient access to the holy site.
Education and Information for Proper Usage:
TGA has also assembled a specialized team to educate and inform pilgrims about the appropriate use of e-scooters. By providing essential instructions and guidance, TGA aims to ensure that pilgrims utilize the scooters safely and responsibly.
Continuous Development and Improved Services:
TGA remains committed to enhancing the e-scooter service and constantly seeks ways to improve it. Additionally, the authority is diligently establishing necessary conditions for the effective and efficient operation of the e-scooters during Hajj.
