Sunil Grover has no plans to work with Kapil Sharma
Grover, one of the most popular comedians in India, recently spoke about the possibility of reuniting with Kapil Sharma, his former colleague from the popular comedy show ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil.’ Grover, who is widely known for his iconic Gutthi character, said that he has no plans to work with Sharma again.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, he said, “There is nothing like that, or ask him then. Currently, I am occupied with my work and I am enjoying it. Similarly, Kapil is also engrossed in his work and doing well. I have already relished my time working in non-fiction and now I am relishing the fiction setup which is providing me with new experiences as a performer. I am enjoying myself and having fun. As of now, there are no plans to reunite with Kapil.
He reveals his current work plans and why he won’t reunite with Kapil Sharma
The statement shows that Grover is content with his current work setup and does not see the need to reunite with Kapil Sharma. Five years ago, the two had a major fight that resulted in Grover quitting the show and moving on to other work commitments.
Although the two comedians have not worked together since their fallout, Kapil Sharma has expressed interest in having him back on ‘The Kapil Sharma Show.’ However, it seems like Grover has no plans to work with his former colleague anytime soon.
Sunil’s career
Grover started his career as a radio jockey and made his television debut in the late 1990s. He gained popularity after playing the character of Gutthi on ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil,’ which aired from 2013 to 2016. Grover’s portrayal of the character was so impressive that it became a household name in India.
After leaving ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil,’ Sunil went on to work in various other TV shows, including ‘Mad in India’ and ‘The Kapil Sharma Show.’ He also appeared in several Bollywood movies like ‘Gabbar Is Back,’ ‘Pataakha,’ and ‘Bharat.’
Sunil has a massive fan following in India and is known for his impeccable comic timing and unique sense of humor. He has won several awards for his performances and is considered one of the best comedians in the country.
The feud between Kapil and Sunil
The fallout between Kapil Sharma and Sunil happened in 2017 when the two comedians got into a major fight while flying back to Mumbai after performing at a show in Melbourne, Australia. According to reports, Sharma was drunk and started abusing Grover, which led to a heated argument between the two.

The fight resulted in Sunil quitting ‘The Kapil Sharma Show,’ which was a huge blow for the show’s popularity. Kapil Sharma later apologized for his behavior and tried to bring Grover back on the show, but he refused.
Since then, the two comedians have not worked together, and there have been several rumors of a possible reunion. However, it seems like Sunil Grover has no plans to reunite with Kapil Sharma anytime soon.
Sunil Grover’s future projects
Grover is currently busy with several upcoming projects. He will be seen in Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming web series ‘Sunflower,’ which is set to release on June 11. The series also stars Ranvir Shorey, Girish Kulkarni, and Ashish Vidyarthi.
