Sri Lanka to fill elephant void in Pakistani zoos

Sri Lanka has announced that it will provide assistance to Pakistan after the tragic death of Karachi Zoo’s elephant, Noor Jahan. The Sri Lankan government has offered to gift two elephants to Pakistan, one of which will be given to the Lahore Zoo and the other to the Karachi Zoo. Yasin Joya, a representative, has confirmed this development.

It is worth noting that both zoos have been left without elephants following the passing of their respective elephants. Lahore Zoo’s elephant, Suzi, passed away earlier, leaving a void in the establishment. Similarly, Noor Jahan, the elephant at Karachi Zoo, also breathed her last on the first day of Eid-ul-Fitr.

The gesture by Sri Lanka to gift the elephants is a testament to the strong and friendly relations between the two countries.

This act of kindness and generosity will not only help fill the void left by the passing of the previous elephants but will also promote cultural exchange and strengthen the bond between the people of Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
