Silent Hill f Pre-Load Starts Soon – Here’s What You Need to Know
The long wait is almost over! Silent Hill f pre-load is about to begin, and fans now have official details on file size, pre-load dates, and editions ahead of the game’s September release.
Silent Hill f launches on 25 September 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, marking the first full new entry in the series since Silent Hill: The Short Message.
Silent Hill f File Size & Pre-Load Dates
- Standard Edition: File size is 36.637 GB with pre-load available from 23 September.
- Deluxe Edition: Pre-load starts earlier on 21 September, with full game access from 23 September — two days ahead of Standard users.
The Deluxe Edition also comes with exclusive early access, giving players the chance to finish Silent Hill f Season 3 before Standard Edition users even begin.

How Long Will Silent Hill f Take to Beat?
Players can expect around 12–13 hours of gameplay, making it one of the longer titles in the Silent Hill franchise. Despite this, the file size is modest compared to other recent AAA releases — far smaller than Ghost of Yotei (85 GB) or Helldivers 2 (140 GB on PC).
New Setting, New Style of Horror
For the first time, the series moves away from its traditional U.S. setting to Ebisugaoka, a fictional Japanese town, creating a deeply authentic Eastern horror experience.
Producer Motoi Okamoto has confirmed that Silent Hill f will lean more heavily on action and melee combat, with early previews comparing it to soulslike gameplay mechanics.
Conclusion
With the Silent Hill f pre-load date, file size, and release details confirmed, fans now just have to count down the days until this long-awaited horror chapter begins.
