Mumbai: Bollywood King Shahrukh Khan And Deepika Padukone’s Pathaan will be released on Amazon Prime on March 22, just 56 days after it was released in theatres.
The digital premiere of Pathaan on Amazon Prime Video will include additional content that fans will enjoy.
According to Indian media rep[orts, Siddharth Anand hinted about the backstory and religion of the lead character in an interview. In one of the scenes, Rubai, played by Deepika Padukone, asks Pathaan, played by Shah Rukh Khan, if he is a Muslim. Pathaan then reveals that he received the name “Pathaan” after rescuing children in an Afghan village.
Pathaan, produced by Yash Raj Films, has become the top-grossing Hindi film to date. It was released in Indian theatres, as well as other countries including the US, Canada, UAE, Egypt, UK, Australia, and New Zealand on January 25, 2023.
The movie has several well-known actors including Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Dimple Kapadia, and Ashutosh Rana. The music for the film was composed by Vishal-Shekhar. In another interview, Anand disclosed that the film has a special cameo scene featuring both Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan on a train. He asked Salman Khan to shout “bhaag Pathaan bhaag” in the scene, in reference to his 1995 film Karan Arjun, but with “Pathaan ” replacing “Arjun”.
The success of Pathaan in cinemas and the anticipation for its release on digital platforms had already created a lot of excitement among fans.
Now, with the director hinting at potential bonus content and surprises for the digital premiere, the excitement among fans has only increased.
