PTI politics revolves around ‘key appointments, its handlers’: Maryam Nawaz

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz has said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) politics has been revolved around the key appointments and its ‘handlers’.

Talking to a PML-N lawyer wing delegation who called on her in Lahore on Sunday, Maryam said that PTI Chairman Imran Khan was the only politician who sold out the pricy gifts which he took from Toshakhana.

She said that the PML-N would win the upcoming elections as they did not afraid of the election process. We are elected people, not selected ones, she added.

“Elections should be held after every five years. There are some problems right now for conducting the elections in the country. Only fresh election can bring stability and prosperity in the country,” she opined.

The PML-N chief organiser said that injustices were meted out to former prime minister Nawaz Sharif as he was disqualified for not taking salary form his son in Iqama case.

On the contrary, she said, the PTI Chairman Imran Khan got relief from the courts as he was granted bails in so many cases.

She said that the PTI workers threw petrol bomb on the police personals who were doing their official duty during Zaman Park clashes.

She said that the PTI government dissolved the assemblies to bring instability to the country. She further said that former Punjab chief minister Parvez Elahi did not want to dissolve the provincial assembly, but he (Imran Khan) pressurized him to do so.
