Royal expert Tom Bower’s claim that Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, is writing her autobiography has stirred things up. William, the Prince of Wales, is reportedly frustrated by the idea that Meghan might reveal more secrets about the Royal family in her book.
Royal commentator Duncan Larcombe shared his insights on the matter. He explained that it’s not just about Prince Harry promoting his book or participating in interviews like the one with Oprah. Harry has also disclosed personal and private family matters, which has crossed a line in the eyes of the royals.
He said: “Harry has shared some extremely sensitive and intimate family concerns. It isn’t just about Harry promoting his book, the podcasts, or the Oprah appearance.
It’s so much beyond what the royals would deem acceptable that William is unable to put his brother in his trust or take any action toward [reconciliation].
This situation is making it difficult for William to trust his brother or consider reconciling with him. The real problem is that any communication between them could become public, given the ongoing rift between the two.
Duncan emphasized that it’s not uncommon for siblings to have disagreements, but in this context, it feels like a constant betrayal. William can’t take the first step towards reconciliation because he fears Harry might betray his trust and reveal their conversations.
