“NAB confirms arrest of Imran Khan in Al-Qadir Trust case: Latest updates”
ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Tuesday confirmed the arrest of the former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.
The anti-graft watchdog issued a press release, stating that the former premier was arrested in Al-Qadir University Trust case on the charges of embezzling millions of rupees. The release further said that the PTI chief did not responding to the NAB notices, therefore the bureau arrested the former premier on May 9, 2023.
The bureau said that the arrest was made as per the NAB Ordinance and the law.
Rangers on Tuesday arrested former Imran Khan in Islamabad for his alleged involvement in Al-Qadir Trust.
The latest reports suggested that Imran Khan was arrested from the premises of the Islamabad High Court as he reached there for biometric before his appearance before the court.

Rangers personnel took Imran Khan into custody and surrounded his vehicle as he reached the judicial complex of the federal capital Pakistan. The security personnel shifted Imran Khan from there to NAB Rawalpindi office for the further interrogation.
