A significant development has taken place within the political landscape of Pakistan as prominent political figures from South Punjab, who were previously associated with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), have now joined the ranks of the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP).
This momentous occasion occurred at Bilawal House in Lahore, where a special event took place to officially welcome the new members into the PPP. Former President Asif Zardari, former Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani, and Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood proudly displayed the party flag in a symbolic gesture to signify their allegiance to the PPP.
The list of notable individuals who joined the PPP includes former MNA Qutab Fareed Koreja, Rais Akmal Waran from PP-265, Sardar Shamsher Mazari, Syed Qasim Ali Shamsi, Fariha Batool, Abdul Aziz Kalank, and ex-MPA Rasool Bakhsh Jatoi. Their decision to align themselves with the PPP holds great significance for the political landscape of the region.
Moreover, Pir Jafar Muzamil Shah, Sardar Allah Wasaya Chanu Laghari, Muhammad Alamdar Abbas Qureshi, Malik Abdul Ghaffar Arain, Mrs. Atta Qureshi, Yasir Atta Qureshi, Syed Jameel Shah, Syed Rashid Shah, Sheikh Dilshad Ahmed, Syed Bilal Mustafa, Syed Tehseen Nawaz Gardizi, Mian Ali Haider Wattoo, Mian Salman Ayub Mohal, Mian Amir Haider Wattoo, Ayaz Khan, Amjad Khan Niazi, Muzamal Khan Niazi, and Umar Masood Farooqui have also chosen to become members of the PPP, demonstrating their commitment to the party’s cause.
