KASUR: PML-N Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz on Wednesday came down hard on the former prime minister Imran Khan during her workers convention in Kasur.
Addressing a charged crowd, the PML-N chief organizer said that she will not afraid of speaking the truth.
The PML-N chief organizer urged the Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial to not listen to Imran Khan’s demands as he is a thankless person to his well-wishers. She urged the chief justice to treat Imran Khan as per law.
Without naming Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, the PML-N leader said that Lahorites had rejected the “Fitna” during his public gathering at Minar-e-Pakistan on March 25. She said that he was addressing the nation while sitting in a bulletproof container.
She termed Imran Khan the ‘biggest coward man’ of the Pakistan’s history. She said that she was not appearing before the courts on the lame excuses including his illness and life threats and etc. The PML-N leader said that Khan was not following the rule of law as he was advocating it in the past.
Maryam Nawaz said that when police reached the Zaman Park to arrest the former prime minister in various cases, the PTI workers and supporters threw petrol bombs on the police. She termed Khan a terrorist.
“If your wife is alone at the Zaman Park, then who was throwing petrol bombs and pelting stones at the police and other law enforcement personnel,” said the PML-N leader.
She said that the PTI chairman also used the Gilgit-Baltistan police for his protection. The GB police launched attack on the Punjab police.
“Imran Khan’s own children are safe in London, but he has left the nation at the mercy of conspirators and terrorists,” she opined.
She said it was decided that Imran Khan would not come back to power. She that it was decided by the people of Pakistan.
She said that Imran Khan levelled serious allegation on Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah that he wanted to kill him. Later, she said, he shifted the same allegation on IG Islamabad, Interim Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi and others.
She said that Imran Khan should be kept in zoo and a ticket should be fixed on it.
Maryam Nawaz said that the PML-N believes in power of people. She said that elections will be held in the country, but a question will be asked before the elections that who has changed the 4-3 SC decision into 3-2.
“Why Punjab Assembly was dissolved on the directives of an ‘addict’, she questioned.
She said that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif was ousted for not taking salary from his son in Iqama case. She said that injustice was meted out to Nawaz Sharif. She said that former judge Saqib Nisar and justice (r) Khosa are the enemies of the PML-N.
At the end, the PML-N leader lauded Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for distributing free flour among the poor masses. She said that free flour bags would be increased from 1 to 3 in the coming days.
She lauded the prime minister for visiting the remote areas during the Ramadan to review the arrangements of free flour distribution to the masses.
