To promote Meta’s new Smart Glasses collaboration with RayBan, Mark Zuckerberg shared a heartwarming video. In this video posted on Instagram, the Meta CEO demonstrates how Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology integrated into these smart glasses helps him learn to braid his daughter’s hair.
In the video, Zuckerberg uses the smart glasses to film the back of his daughter’s head. He asks, “Hey Meta, how do you make a braid?” In response, a voice from the smart glasses guides him through each step, creating a touching and innovative moment.
The AI voice instructs Mr. Zuckerberg through three steps: brushing the hair, separating it into three parts, crossing the right section over the middle, then the left, and continuing. Playfully, he says, “Well, here goes nothing,” as he attempts to complete the hairstyle on his daughter. In the video’s caption, he writes, “Finally learned to braid. Thanks, Meta AI.”
Towards the end of the video, Mr. Zuckerberg even asks the smart glasses to take a photo of his handiwork and send it to his wife, Priscilla Chan, all without lifting a finger.
This heartwarming video was uploaded just a day ago and has already received an impressive response, with over 82,000 likes and a remarkable 1.5 million views. Viewers have been genuinely moved by the clip, showing their admiration for this father-daughter bonding moment.
Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan are parents to three daughters: Maxima (7), August (5), and Aurelia, born in March 2023. The couple has been married since 2012. Ms. Chan is a pediatrician and philanthropist who pursued her medical education at the University of California after earning her degree from Harvard University.
