London’s Ramadan Lights Switched On
In London’s West End, special lights for Ramadan have been turned on. This is the second year that central London is lit up for the Muslim holy month.
Aisha Desai, a young Muslim from north London, came up with the idea. She was inspired by her love for Christmas lights and created the first Ramadan lights display in Finchley.
These lights will be switched on every evening for 30 nights until Eid in April. It’s a special way to celebrate Ramadan in the city.
