Lahore Qalandars beat Peshawar Zalmi to reach final of PSL8

LAHORE: Lahore Qalandars defeated Peshawar Zalmi by four wickets to reach the final of Pakistan Super League (PSL) season eight at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and elected to bat first against the Qalandars in the Eliminator 2 of PSL. Zalmi set the target of 172 runs for the Lahore Qalandars. Zalmi’s Mohammad Haris scored brilliant 85 runs and captain Babar Azam also made 42 runs. He became the top run getter in the PSL 2023 with 519 runs. He overcame Mohammad Rizwan who scored 516 runs so far in the tournament.

Qalandars’ Zaman Khan and Rashid Khan took two wickets each.

In reply, Qalandars chased down the target in the second last over with the loss of six wickets. Mirza Tahir Baig scored 54 runs off 42 balls. Sam Billing made 28 runs.

Qalandars will play final against Multan Sultans tomorrow (March 18).
