Imran Riaz Khan, a well-known Pakistani journalist, was arrested today. Reports on X (formerly known as Twitter) indicate that he was taken into custody at Lahore International Airport by both uniformed and plainclothes officers. Although a court had previously allowed Imran to travel for Hajj, he was stopped before he could board his flight.
Imran’s team posted on X condemning the arrest, stating that he was treated rudely. They mentioned that during the arrest, Imran kept reciting prayers.
