Imran Khan, the leader of PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf), had a significant meeting while in Attock jail following his arrest in the Toshakhana criminal case. This marked his first meeting within the confines of the prison.
During the meeting, Khan took a crucial step by signing his power of attorney. The meeting took place in the office of the jail superintendent, where he discussed legal matters with his legal team.
Speaking to the media outside the jail, Imran Khan’s lawyers highlighted his challenging conditions in confinement. They revealed that he is being kept in isolation and is not receiving adequate facilities. Even the simple act of offering prayers has become problematic for him.
Disturbingly, his cell has been affected by rainwater leakage and insects during the night, causing further discomfort. Additionally, he is reported to be receiving a basic diet of daal roti, the staple food of the district jail.

The lawyers emphasized that Imran Khan’s wife, Bushra Bibi, should be granted permission to meet him. This request underlines the importance of maintaining basic human rights and family connections even during challenging times.
