Following a heavy downpour in Lahore, Wahab Riaz faced public criticism when a video captured him driving in a reckless manner on the flooded roads. In the footage, he can be seen splashing rainwater onto nearby vehicles and motorcyclists. The incident quickly garnered attention and drew condemnation from the public.
Responding to the criticism, Wahab Riaz took to Twitter to express his regret and apologize for the incident. Over the course of 10 hours, the capital city of Punjab received a staggering 290mm of rain. This extreme weather event resulted in the unfortunate loss of at least seven lives. Commissioner Lahore Mohammad Ali Randhawa attributed the heavy rainfall to climate change and strong monsoon activity.
